Puerto Rican

Salsa Dancing

If there is one thing that Puerto Ricans are known for worldwide, it's our music. And for us, Salsa is more than a dance step - it's a way of life! We dance at home, at the beach, at the bar, and in the streets! Come immerse yourself in our culture of rhythm, swing, and sensuality during the

Puerto Rican Salsa Dancing experience. You won't just learn it, you will feel it!

What We'll Do

First we'll meet up at a lovely outdoor plaza here in San Juan. We'll start off with a complimentary cocktail where we'll break the ice, get to know each other, and build up a little liquid courage.

Then we'll start our dance class* where you will learn the basics to our most popular steps: Merengue and Salsa. Our style is "Salsa de Calle" which means Street Salsa - how Puerto Ricans dance at the bars and yes, in the streets! It's a more casual style where the emphasis is not on technical counts or ballroom postures, but about feeling the music and having fun!

Once you're comfortable with your new dance moves, we recommend Salsa bars where you can check out some local flavor!

*Due to COVID-19, for everyone's health and safety this is no longer a group class. Each class is a private session, held outdoors, for 1 couple (or 2 people) at a time. Our instructor wears a mask.

"Angelina was awesome! It was my first time in PR, and she made it an incredible experience. She is an experienced dancer and an expert teacher. She is very personable! Five star experience.... if you’re thinking about it, don’t. Just do it!"

- Vincent from Washington, DC

"Angelina was great!! Her style of teaching was perfect and she gave us a history of each dance. She showed use the cultural part of dancing in Puerto Rico. For an authentic experience, I recommend her!"

- Terry from Arlington, VA

"Angelina knows how to give great lessons! I've done other classes where instructors just show what to do but don't correct your form, but Angelina was extremely helpful. It also didn't feel like a stereotypical tourist experience since Angelina showed us how the locals dance!"

- Luis from Boston, MA

"The experience is 100% worth it, price matches value. My fiancée and I took the class and it was out of our comfort zone but I would say it is a must do when you are visiting PR! Angelina was great, very helpful, and teaches you about the locals and introduces you to the nearby areas."

- Amanda from Aloma, FL

"Angelina is warm friendly funny informative. I was able to really experience the true culture of Puerto Rico. Angelina made it feel like we were visiting family and she was showing us around. I would book her again just to hang out."

- Leslie from Hackensack, NJ
